Can anyone else confirm that they can reproduce this? You just go to your firewall, then port forwarding, then copy and paste the IP:port of the STB into any web browser. The site says: “ARRIS”" Is this not something I'm supposed to have access to? What's Arris? Arris doesn't make anything on my network, and obviously not the STB on that IP which is made by Motorola, unless they made the firmware for the STB or something. When I go to STB's IP: port in my browser I'm given a login screen that says "Authentication Required STB's IP: port is requesting your username and password. All of them are under a single entry of STB's IP: port. It has a few rules set for itself I can't remove. Is this on anyone else's router? Another thing is when I'm on the port forwarding page, I see the STB as I said. Is there a reason for them to be there by default or can I remove them? I'm guessing the STB uses it so I should leave it but I have no idea. Under port triggering, I see l2tp and tftp are present and I didn't put them there. This unit can be easily mounted behind a display to bring HDMI connectivity to remote. I don't really care about that but I'm curious about some other seemingly auto configured settings. The router appears to have configured some port forwarding rules for the STB which are baked into the firmware and I have no control over. I finished configuring the router how I like and thankfully all the features I like are present.
